In February YC108 Russian Confederation RED Alliance was the big player in this part of New Eden. But the Coalition of the South was raising up. Eager to reclaim what they believed was their rightful homeland, a 400 ships armada, one of the biggest in New Eden history, swooped on RED territory and the Russians began to fall apart system by system. But Russians, as Uncle Kirill usually claim, are tough people and they planned a hard resistance in Insmother region, with their Dreadnought-class brand new fleet. The battle was a disaster, and RED began to fall into pieces with many members packing up and evacuating the region. Only a small force of 70 battle-hardened pilots refused to evacuate. They vowed to resist and went into hiding while the South Coalition overwhelmed their systems. They trained as resistance fighters waiting for a chance to strike down Coalition at every cost. As time passed these 70 guerrilla pilots became the most finely tuned fighting force in New Eden making hit-and-run guerrilla operation behind enemy lines. But they know the will not win a war by winning small battles. Guerrilla fighters decide to strike in C-J6MT with a sneak attack, destroying all possible South Coalition property and quickly erecting defenses knowing that Coalition main forces would have come soon to regain control of the system. On May 25 YC108 the Coalition’s 400 ships armada warped in C-J6MT to crush RED guerrilla with a final blow. RED fighters were outnumbered five to one but they were prepared and their Commander gave the order to counterattack. The battle lasted hours but, when the smoke cleared, Russian defense was still standing, although big losses and the Coalition’s grand armada was wreckage. Russian’s revenge war was only at the beginning.
