Ladies and gentlemen, we have a beta to test and we need your help.

This is our brand new Chrome Extension, known as NEWB, is designed to help new EVE players understand the heavy jargon they see while reading webpages (like our own forums) and learning to play EVE online. It can look up one term (or acronym) at a time if you want (highlight the term and right click), or decipher a whole page at once (right click on page and choose translate).

It works on any website you visit.

If you still don’t yet get what this is, I introduced the concept in greater detail a couple weeks ago in this forum thread: Volunteer in the Name of Helping New Members.

As of today, the New Eden Word Bank (NEWB) was approved for publication by the Chrome Store, but I have not published it for public consumption until we refine this tool as a group.

Please play with it, test it, see what stupid mistakes it makes and what terms are missing. For new Eve players especially, what terms are you reading online that NEWB has failed to help you with?
