1420:Drifter Hives Anomalies Survey
![]() |
WAYPOINT SYSTEMS |
---|
|
TIP: |
Navigating through these systems can pose a challenge due to the nature of wormholes, emphasizing the importance of flying cautiously to ensure safety. Vigilance and caution will be your attitude. A covert-ops capable ship is required. |
TRAVEL NOTE: |
Unidentified wormholes are marked by beacons that don't require scanning. The first letter of the ID indicates the type: Vidette (V928), Redoubt (R259), Sentinel (S977), Barbican (B735), or Conflux (C414). When you warp in, you'll land about 100km away and must burn to the hole. Be cautious—Drifters may be nearby, and they typically either jump in or warp away after a short waiting period. Make sure that you have a launcher and probes due to the high number of Wormholes inside! To locate the different hives in New Eden, you can use systems that have known Jove observatories to find them. Warp to the Beacon when in System. |
TripTik096 Expedition Highlights
Introduction
Visit all of the Combat Anomalies, present in each Drifter Hive (total of six per Drifter Hive), plus the Sister of Eve Flotillas addendum, see later.
Locations
K-Space Jovian Observatories seem to act as lodestones, drawing Unidentified Wormholes to their systems. These wormholes serve as artificial connections to the Drifter Hive systems. To locate one of the five hives, we need to carefully examine our overview.
A system containing an Observatory has a chance of hosting one Unidentified Wormhole, or occasionally two. These wormholes can be one of the following types:
- B735 (a.k.a. Barbican)
- C414 (a.k.a. Conflux)
- R259 (a.k.a. Redoubt)
- S877 (a.k.a. Sentinel)
- V928 (a.k.a. Vidette)
To assess the different Unidentified Wormholes, warp to 100km of the hole and scan for hostile NPCs (known for being aggressive and highly territorial) a covert ops cloak is required due to upon warp in Drifters can be present. Wait for them to disperse before approaching with caution. A mad dash across the final few kilometers to the event horizon is encouraged.
Once inside, bookmark your exit, and you should be fine but make sure and have probes and a launcher on hand as well.
