Public:New Eden Word Bank (NEWB)

The Engineering Division of Signal Cartel has released a beta to test and they need the help of Signaleers like you!

This is our brand new Chrome Extension, known as the New Eden Word Bank (NEWB), that is designed to help new EVE players understand the heavy jargon they see while reading webpages (like our own forums) and learning to play EVE online. It can look up one term (or acronym) at a time if you want (highlight the term and right click), or decipher a whole page at once (right click on page and choose translate).

It works on any website you visit.

If you still don’t yet get what this is, A Dead Parrot introduced the concept in greater detail a couple weeks ago in this forum thread: Volunteer in the Name of Helping New Members.

As of today, the New Eden Word Bank (NEWB) was approved for publication by the Chrome Store, but A Dead Parrot has not published it for public consumption until we refine this tool as a group.

Please play with it, test it, see what stupid mistakes it makes and what terms are missing.
